About Us

Pacifica Consortium was originally conceived back in 1986 by a collective of dedicated engineers and doctors who, through their working friendships, found a passion to create innovative solutions to various medically related problems facing the handicapped community.

The teams mutual love of volunteering to help the needy, brought them together creating several technology solutions at a local handicapped hospital in Downey, California. From those humble beginnings, the team continued informally to pool their resources in solving various problems and advance their individual careers. Several dozen technical papers and three patents later, the team decided to form the Consortium. The company has been designed from its start as an evolutionary open architecture platform for each member to pursue their own visions/dreams in their spare time as their careers travel forward.

Today, the consortium still thrives as the generic development platform for the various doctors and engineers it serves. Each professional pursues novel concepts and research at an individual and/or group level to create new innovations and bring them life. Some ideas are simply published for free community use with no compensation, some are presented to the commercial market and some justify government presentation. All ideas are founded upon the shared idea to help our world in some form.

Medical Sciences

Our medical sciences team performs fundamental research and experimentation across many aspects of the medical profession. From pain management to prosthetic devices, we have pursued several dozen projects and created several inventions that have helped the handicapped and general patient community. We have a special interest in the study of human pain control and nerve research. The development of the dream “cyborg” limb still occupies all of our minds. The goal being to one day help those individuals who have suffered major limb loss regain their physical capabilities.

Dental Sciences

Our dental sciences team is headed by Dr. Jannette Trent. of Dental Aesthetics Professionals dental center in Anaheim, California. Jannette has over twenty years as a practicing dentist in both general and advanced cosmetic dentistry. Jannette’s primary interests involve the long term methodology of analyzing patient health histories to better understand evolving patient health conditions. Her goal has been to determine if correlations exist and can be exploited to predict the future of patients health and onset of various health issues via the dental diagnostic process. Jannette has also been involved in several clinical trial studies of new dental products and dental appliances.

Veterinary Sciences

Our veterinary sciences team is composed of several engineers and is headed by Dr. Corine Blanchard of Melbourne, Australia (retired). Corine has been an eternally dedicated visionary towards helping to improve the care and health of animals. Corine still performs part time research with the International Wildlife Research Council and spends much of her time in the Australian outback tracking disease transmission and wildlife count of several local endangered species of mammals. Over the last two years, our veterinary sciences team has been researching care and application methodologies of animal wound management.

Environment Sciences

Our environment sciences team is our most recent addition, thanks to our research engineer Mark Trent. Mark has brought his experience of over 30 years in both medical and environments sciences from the aerospace industry. Our environments sciences specialty is a combination of materials research, energy research and environments studies on the effects of various materials and concepts we develop. Mark has built several laboratory test chambers for us to study various materials effects from different simulated conditions such as inside the human body, on animal bodies and in
various environments that can be exploited to study and improve on new materials. Marks current personal project involves development of a specialty thermal vacuum environments chamber to simulate effects on materials combinations and merger in different states such as solid, liquid, gas and plasma. Our environments sciences group also is in charge of new product certifications and life cycle simulation testing.

Charitable Foundation

The Pacifica Consortium Charitable Foundation is a completely privately funded effort of the company to pool financial resources and donate to causes in line with our company vision. The foundation has donated over a hundred thousand dollars in the past decade to various wildlife, medical and environmental charities.

The foundation also gives back to society via our own team members being volunteers with several local charities.

Pacifica Consortium has also been a proud sponsor of the following charities and respected organizations:

  • Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)
  • American Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
  • American Anti Vivisection Society (AAVS)
  • Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM)
  • Bunny Bunch SPCR California
  • Seal Beach National Wildlife Reserve

The Pacifica Consortium Corporation is absolutely dedicated to the vision of the elimination of all forms of animals in medical research. Our team unanimously shares the sound technical consensus that using animals in any form of research is no longer needed due to both advances in medical discovery methods and the humane mindset that animals do understand and suffer pain.

The consortium will NEVER perform any form of research in any fashion that involves harming living animals or, the intentional termination of living animals.
